i moved to los angeles to pursue acting…
here’s my story!
Growing up in Phoenix, AZ, I learned the Stella Adler technique (mixed with Meisner) from my acting coach in the Speech & Debate team at my high school.
I competed and won first place in numerous acting competitions in Arizona and then traveled around the country in the National Forensics League.
However, life’s too short not to pursue your true passions.
Although I had a promising future in biotechnology, I dropped all of it.
I graduated from usc with a degree in acting.
Yep! A Bachelor’s in Theatre Acting Emphasis and a Minor in Education & Society.
I even graduated summa cum laude. Back then, my most notable performance was a one-night only performance of dftc’s Fun Home: The Musical where I played the suave lesbian Joan in front of 1,200 audience members at the Bovard Auditorium.
That night was so memorable that I got a long-term girlfriend AND two managers, who were sitting in the audience! (But I’ve broken up with all of them, so hit me up!!!)
i began my film career in 2020, during lockdown.
I was acting in a new work play when the pandemic hit and shut everything down. To keep my artistic juices flowing, I began acting more in film.
I had the awesome opportunity to work with a female-led film company ONYX Films and other teams. See my reel above for some clips!
in 2022, i began acting in immersive, interactive, choose-your-own-adventure theatre!
And WOW – I fell in love!!! I had never really performed improv before, but I turned out to be a natural at this specific format because of three things: my social intelligence, my previous work in leadership and crowd management, and my problem-solving skills. Turns out that science background was still super useful!
As an actor in these shows, I have to juggle talking to people in-character and figuring out how to tie our interactions in with the overarching plot. It’s SO FUN!
